The project provides free, accessible support for people facing poor mental health, loneliness, financial hardship, unemployment, family difficulties or the risk of homelessness.

TEMPLE builds on our existing community outreach, food support, counselling and wellbeing work across Medway. Our aim is to provide early support, practical help and a safe place where people feel heard and supported.

How TEMPLE Helps

We believe early support makes a difference. TEMPLE gives people an opportunity to talk about their circumstances, access appropriate services and receive practical support before problems become a crisis.

Through counselling, wellbeing activities, advocacy and community support, we aim to reduce isolation, improve emotional wellbeing, strengthen coping skills and help people move towards greater stability.

Our Community

TEMPLE has grown from the needs we have seen through our community work. Over the past five years, House of Faith Ministries has supported more than 3,000 people through counselling, homelessness outreach, food provision, youth activities and family support.

People in our community have told us they need a safe local space, affordable counselling, practical crisis support and opportunities to connect with others. TEMPLE responds directly to these needs.

Our volunteers and community members also play an important role in shaping and delivering the project through volunteering, feedback, peer support and community activities.

Project Updates

We will use this section to share news, activities and updates from TEMPLE throughout the project.

Follow this page for information about upcoming sessions, community activities, new services and the difference the project is making in Chatham.

Our Impact

TEMPLE aims to support around 120 people directly during the project period.

We will monitor attendance, referrals, support provided, outcomes and participant feedback. This will help us understand which forms of support have the greatest benefit and inform our future community projects.
